I graduated from William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri. I majored in Special Education. At present, my teaching certificate qualifies me to teach the learning disabled, the educable mentally retarded, and Art for grades K-9. I just retired after teaching for 32 years. I can teach every grade level, but I especially enjoy teaching upper elementary, middle, and high school students. The subjects I have tutored range from developing skills for life to every academic subject.I would best describe my tutoring style as somewhere in between instructing students directly, and giving them questions and scenarios to solve. When tutoring Reading, I like to utilize phonics. I have always believed that education can provide, at the very least, knowledge that is useful in life. Hopefully, it can inspire students to think critically and creatively as well. I have a yearning to learn for the rest of my life, and I am confident that I can help inspire that desire in each of my students. I would love to be your tutor. My approach is that tutoring will always be fun and interactive. I have a lot of patience, understanding, and a serious commitment to help you get the most from your studies. We should connect today.
